The AMEC Diploma in Strategic Communication Planning and Measurement

The AMEC Diploma in Strategic Communication Planning and Measurement is a professional short course taught at Masters level. It provides advanced knowledge and practical skills in strategic planning based on insights and evidence as well as evidence-based reporting that shows the value of communication.

It is designed for experienced professionals involved in corporate, government, organisational, and other areas of strategic communication including public relations.

The course was developed by Distinguished Professor Jim Macnamara, PhD, FAMEC, FAMI, CPM, Chair of the AMEC Academic Advisory Group and an internationally recognised leader in evaluation of communication, in collaboration with AMEC and PR Academy.

The qualification is based on bespoke content that incorporates specially recorded videos with Jim Macnamara and other materials developed by him. It is delivered online and incorporates a microlearning approach with a range of different study options such as videos, short online reading, reading of chapters in books provided on the Study Hub, podcasts with practitioners and short quizzes.

Student support is provided through live workshops and personal one-to-one tutorials with Paul Hender. Paul is a former a board member of AMEC and played a significant role in industry initiatives including the Barcelona Principles, AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework (IEF), and Measurement Maturity Mapper (M3).
